TapRoots / The Evocatives

  • Brewbakers 48 Emerald St Keene, NH, 03431 United States (map)

Born out of the desire to explore a variety of interlocking musical influences, TapRoots is Deep Tracks with Deep Roots for the Body, Mind and Soul! Charting new musical territory with their unique and complex mix of funk, soul, salsa, afrobeat, reggae, afrocuban jazz, rock, samba and the folkloric rhythms of Ifa/Lukumi, TapRoots travels beyond the borders of traditional popular music, bringing the listener on a journey filled with catchy hooks, pulsing rhythms, and intricate musical motifs, synthesized into a powerful, deeply rooted, and uplifting experience. Blazing horn lines, danceable grooves, masterful musicianship, thought provoking lyrics and a tangible sense of the spirit are braided together into a powerful unified statement of joy, community, social change and soul!

Featuring virtuous guitar, beats and bass respectively by musically renowned brothers Ezra, Owen and Walker Landis along with poetic vocals and frontwoman energy from Jenn Bakalar, the Evocatives conjure a groove. They have played local venues and festivals for years featuring a kaleidoscopic delivery of tone and themes in their original performances.

Doors are at 7pm and music will begin at 730! Seating is first come first served!

Thanks to support from Savings Bank of Walpole, this show has an Access For All option which lets you name your price (you can't buy multiples of this option at the same time, so to buy more than one ticket, it is necessary to do each additional ticket in a different transaction).
