Rong w/ Kendra & B|_ank

  • Brewbakers 48 Emerald St Keene, NH, 03431 United States (map)

Rong is a noise rock band based out of Massachusetts. They have released one full-length album (wormhat, 2019), a live album (LIVE AT NEW ALLIANCE, 2024), and several singles and live EPs. They have toured with bands like Sea Moss, Black Matter Device, and Deathless Forever, and played alongside artists as wide-ranging as Knoll, Victoria Shen, Daedalus, The Number 12 Looks Like You, Brandon Seabrook, and Guerilla Toss. They are currently wrapping up mixes for two new albums and planning a New England tour with B|_ank this April 2026.

“Void of subtlety, the band carve into the impenetrable weight of society’s dissolution with a sound as brilliant as it is overtly chaotic. Sociopolitically minded but never heavy handed, there’s a definable rage found in their contextual carnage, but Rong don’t feel indebted to their indignation.” — Dan Goldin for Post-Trash

“What happens when Melt-Banana's sugar-smacked punk smashes into Brainiac's noise-rock mania.” — Lars Gotrich for NPR

Kendra is a two piece band from NH and Boston. Kendra consists of Kate Hanlon (formerly of pony bones), and Danny Kamps (omoo omoo, Denny Kemps). They have been a band on and off for 20 years now, they started their musical journey together in high school, playing in the noise rock band Undebecome.

Kendra's sound reflects the diverse musical tastes of its bandmates. Delicate passages are contrasted with walls of noise, feedback, and distortion. Both musicians take a unique approach to their instruments and composition, focusing heavily on rhythm and dynamics. Not quite a metal band, not quite a noise band, and not quite a math rock band, they fall somewhere along the continuum of all 3.

B|_ank is the solo project of electroacoustic percussionist and experimental artist Will Hicks. A classically trained pianist and lifelong drummer, Hicks began performing as a noise rock drummer in 2009, touring extensively across the U.S. for several years before launching B|_ank in 2016.

This solo project merges furious drumming with analog synthesizers, electronic percussion, and drum-triggered samples. Balancing harsh, rhythmic intensity with moments of atmospheric beauty, their music blurs the line between chaos and control, constantly pushing the limits of solo performance.

Beyond their solo work, Hicks has collaborated in the studio and on stage with The Flaming Lips, Dan Deacon, Deerhoof, and R. Stevie Moore, further cementing their place in the experimental music world. On tour from Portland Oregon!

Doors are at 7pm and music will begin at 730! Seating is first come first served!

Thanks to support from Savings Bank of Walpole, this show has an Access For All option which lets you name your price (you can't buy multiples of this option at the same time, so to buy more than one ticket, it is necessary to do each additional ticket in a different transaction).
