Nature on Tap: Queer Is Everywhere
Celebrate Keene Pride Week by joining Nik Katrick, the director of the Nature Museum in Grafton VT, as we talk about the sexual diversity that exists around the world!
The strength and resiliency of ecosystems depend on diversity. In nature, sex and sexual behavior manifest in countless ways. Forget the talk of “male,” “female,” and gender essentialism: these are human social constructs. What actually exists? Cosexual trees, gynandromorph butterflies, mushrooms with 20,000+ mating types, and sex changing species, to name a few. Celebrate Keene Pride Week by joining Nik Katrick, the director of The Nature Museum in Grafton, VT, as we talk about the sexual diversity that exists around the world, and ask, “Why isn’t this the norm in biology class?” At NOVA Arts in Keene from 7 to 8 p.m. Registration requested but not required at harriscenter.org/events.
