Murphys Blues Explosion w/ Tattooed in Blue

  • Brewbakers 48 Emerald St Keene, NH, 03431 United States (map)

Murphy’s Blues was the house band of the legendary Rynborn Blues club starting in 2004. The band continued as a regional favorite until the pandemic hit. Jim built the new band three years ago, and they perform at Nova Arts every three months. Always a full house with lots of dancing and carrying on.

Groovy alt-indie rock project Tattooed In Blue first emerged in 2022 as the brainchild of Massachusetts-based queer singer-songwriter Christa Renee, who'd been searching for catharsis following a particularly painful period of heartbreak. Blending alt-indie sounds with elements of Motown, reggae, soul and beyond — paired with a particularly endearing and relatable lyrical approach that acts as a powerful exploration of heartbreak, resilience, and hope, Tattooed In Blue has earned a diverse and growing fanbase, as well as acclaim and airtime from outlets like Frequenze Musicali, Lovers Radio, and Glacier FM.

Tattooed in Blue's first album Otherside was recorded at the legendary all-analog Mystic Valley Studios with a lineup consisting of Dub Apocalypse’s Chris Beam, Fiveighthirteen’s Mike Walsh, Nick Phaneuf, and Mike Effenberger, and long time collaborator Wm Josiah Erikson.

Doors are at 7pm and music will start at 730. This show is all ages and seating is limited and also first come first served.

Thanks to support from Savings Bank of Walpole, this show has an Access For All option which lets you name your price (you can't buy multiples of this option at the same time, so to buy more than one ticket, it is necessary to do each additional ticket in a different transaction).
