Jason Anderson w/ Jak Mikal Thomas

  • Brewbakers 48 Emerald St Keene, NH, 03431 United States (map)

New Hampshire born, New Brunswick based, Jason Anderson is an award-winning indie folk artist whose work is as anthemic as it is affecting. Personal and passionate, Anderson’s music crackles with life. A poignant lyricist and soulful performer, Jason’s songs are poetic snapshots, while his electrifying concerts celebrate the present, both invitation and conversation, reflection and release.

In addition to his long-running solo career, Jason has become a sought-after collaborator, working in the studio and on the road as a touring guitarist for Mount Eerie and Strand of Oaks.

This February, Anderson will be traversing the northeast for a series of shows at the piano. Expect heartfelt evenings of connection and community, and a chance to see this revered troubadour in unique and intimate rooms. "Jason's music is an experience; the kind that gives you goosebumps and wedges itself in your heart. You may think that's an overstatement. But it's not.”

Jak Mikal Thomas is a twenty two year old trans guy from Austin TX now located in Keene New Hampshire. Most of his music is centered around mental health, human rights topics, and some dark comedy here and there.

You might also recognize him as your local barista at Brewbakers. Jak started learning piano by ear as a kid before taking two years of classical training. While he was in Austin, he performed at a few local bars, and farmers markets before flying to Keene. Since moving to New Hampshire he has been able to play at the 2nd annual Pride Festival in downtown Keene, as well as a songwriter session at Brewbakers last September.

Doors are at 7pm and music will start at 730. This show is 'pay what you want' / by donation. You can reserve a spot via this ticket link and pay what you like, or put cash in at the door.
